O.k first of all. why are you even bothering with blink 182 songs and the “theory” of them!? They dont know a thing about theory! The way they are thinking, and i dont know for a fact but come on, is “hey im gonna take this “power chord” and im gonna move this one note lower cause it sounds cool.”

Well then teach some music thats worth teaching! If a kid wants to learn a blink 182 song, they dont want to learn the “theory” about it, they just want to know where they put their fingers at and how “cool” they look playing it! Dude it’s not worth your time demonstrating the theory behind a tune like this! Think about it! You know what, you dont even have to, cause its all there! If you wanna teach something good, study some jazz theory. And i dont even know how i came across this video!

You got it backward, this song example is intended to benefit players who have studied or are studying guitar theory and the CAGED system and want to learn how things come up in popular music. I’m sorry I gave you the wrong impression. The rest of my website visitors get it!
